Success relates to both increased uptake of health services by patients and improved health service delivery by health-care care providers * Address inequalities in public and professional education and communication by using technology

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Incorporated in this programme, is a course on The Fundamental Management of HIV/AIDS for Health-care workers and providers will be offered
* This course is aligned with the National Department of Health guidelines for HIV and AIDS management, as well as the principles for OBE (Outcome-based education) and e-ducation of the National Department of Education
* The course has been integrated in the pre-service education at nursery schools and is used for continuous professional development in health service establishments * The course will be delivered via an electronic learner management system (LMS) that will assist learners from initial registration to final certification
* The course is also being aligned with SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority)
TARGET AREAS for TASLY HEALTH CENTRES A total number of 200 Tasly Health Centres will be operational by the end of 2012
A further 800 centres will be introduced by the end of 2013
